MARKET TALK: Gold Miners Rounding Out Strong Day
1515 [Dow Jones] Shares in gold miners mostly rise, rounding out strong recovery day, despite spot gold continuing to trade in tight range in past week of US$423.00-US$428.00, last US$426.65/oz. Among risers, Newcrest (NCM.AU) adds 3%, Lihir Gold (LHG.AU) lifts 1%, Oxiana (OXR.AU) puts on 2.1%, Equigold (EQI.AU) firms 0.8%. Among others of interest, Ballarat (BGF.AU) jumps 11%, A1 Minerals (AAM.AU) also gains 11%, Central Asia Gold (CGX.AU) jumps 7.6%, St Barbara Mines (SBM.AU) advances 9.8%, while Sino Gold (SGX.AU) rallies 12%.
